BREAKFAST PORRIDGE

Simple and healthy, this hearty breakfast provides vitamins and protein, an essential part of any morning.


INGREDIENTS:

3/4 cup leftover grain (for example brown rice)

A pinch or two cinnamon, to taste

1/8 cup raisins

1-2 teaspoons maple syrup

1/8 cup toasted walnuts

1-2 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk


DIRECTIONS:

Cook leftover grain, cinnamon, raisin and maple syrup in an equal amount of water for 6-8 minutes of until soft and creamy, stirring occasionally.


Top with toasted walnuts and almond milk.


Yield: 1

Prep Time: 10 mins

Total Time: 10 mins
