No sports? No problem...have your own little superbowls

We may not have football on Sunday's, or the occasional Monday or Thursday nights, but that does not mean we have to stop having scrum-dittily-umptious snacks. Score 7 points with every bite you take of this quick and easy recipe.

Ingredients:

  • Tostitos Scoops

  • Salsa (have it your way...chunky, spicy, mild, etc.)

  • Sour Cream

  • Cheese (optional...vegans can divulge too) - preferably shredded cheese

  • Ground meat or beef (also optional...no animals need be harmed in the making of this snack)

Directions:

  1. Gather all of your ingredients, along with a couple of spoons

  2. OPTIONAL - cook your ground meat/beef in a pan or small pot. Add some olive oil over a medium fire. When the oil has heated up enough place the meat/beef in the oil and break up to tiny chunks. Sprinkle your seasoning(s) of choice such as salt & pepper, adobo, Old Bay. Cook until brown, while stirring from time to time. (You can feel free to cover the pan or pot to help with the speed of the cooking). Once ready, turn off the stove and let sit.

  3. Rip off a piece of aluminum foil as large as your serving requires and cover a baking sheet to place in the oven. Don't have a baking sheet, the foil alone is fine

  4. OR

  5. Use a smaller piece of aluminum foil to cover the tray of your toaster-oven.

  6. Lay out scoops on the platform of the foil or tray; be sure to have the little bowls face up

  7. OPTIONAL - Using teaspoon #1, place just a few bits of meat in desired number of bowls.

  8. OPTIONAL - If adding cheese sprinkle over the meat

  9. Use teaspoon #2 to add some salsa over the cheese

  10. Use teaspoon #3 to add a bit of sour cream over that

  11. Place tray or aluminum foil in the stove (or toaster oven) and bake for 2-3 minutes

  12. Once you see some brown around the edges of the bowls...some droopy melted cheese...and a little sizzle in the salsa remove and let sit for a minute.

Place on serving dish, or respective plates and ENJOY.
