What is the Mav Market? The Mav Market is a food and resource pantry available to all Mercy College students, staff, and faculty. We are a resource for you to obtain food, toiletries, recipes, and other health and wellness resources. We are community-oriented and look to serve you as best as possible to help promote academic, personal, and professional success!
-
How does the Mav Market work?Stop by the Mav Market during open hours on any campus, complete a 2-minute intake form*, find out how many points you have, and take what you need! If you are in need of food assistance outside of open hours, you may fill out an online Emergency Food Request form to have a pre-filled pantry bag for you to pick up at any of our campus locations. To find a list of open hours per campus, please visit our Instagram or website. *Intake Forms only need to be submitted once per academic year! Once you have completed the intake form, please remember to bring a reusable bag to shop with when you visit.

What is the point system? The point system is a way for us to make sure our members are able to obtain the amount of items they need while being conscious of people who come later in the day. The number of points you receive is based on how many people you are picking up for (family size). You are assigned how many points you have once you register with the Mav Market.* *Note: These points can change based on adjustments to family size.
-
What happens if I run out of points at one session? Will I still be able to pick up next week?Your points re-start every week, so use up those points!

Do I need to pay for items from the Mav Market? No! The Mav Market is completely free and open to all students, faculty, and staff.

I'm not experiencing food insecurity or hunger, can I still pick up some snacks from the Mav Market?Of course! If you are hungry throughout the day, we are here to help. A granola bar could be the difference between a B and an A, and we want to make sure you have all the tools you need to succeed.
-
