This classic is for all seasons...basic comfort food.
INGREDIENTS:
3/4 cup milk
3 large eggs
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
6 slices of bread (I used what bread)
1/8 cup of sugar
3 teaspoon cinnamon
pinch of salt
butter for skillet
Optional toppings: cut strawberries and bananas
maple syrup
confectioners sugar
whipped cream
chocolate chips
Honey butter (see recipe on Mav Market blog)
Directions:
1. In a bowl beat together milk, eggs, vanilla, sugar, cinnamon and pinch of salt.
2. Dip each bread slice in egg mixture, turning to coat both sides evenly.
TIP: With a fork, poke holes in bread slices to soak up egg mixture easier.
3. Cook bread slices on lightly greased nonstick skillet on medium heat until browned on both sides.
4. Place on a plate. Add your desired toppings. Enjoy!

Yields: 2-3 servings
TIP: Store in an airtight container for 2 days.
